Play~ Connect~ Grow~ Social Groups by BTG
At Bridging the Gap (BTG), our Social Groups are designed to foster connection, communication, and confidence through structured, play-based activities rooted in occupational therapy principles. These groups are not traditional therapy sessions, nor are they unstructured playdates. Instead, they’re carefully facilitated opportunities for neurodivergent children and teens to build meaningful peer relationships while developing important social-emotional, sensory, and executive functioning skills.
Developing social skills through our "Play with a Purpose" program
Welcome to our “Play with a Purpose” Autism Social Groups, where fun meets skill-building in a supportive and inclusive space. Designed specifically for kids and teens, our groups offer an engaging environment where participants can bond over shared activities while honing essential life skills.
A supportive space for kids and teens to engage in fun, purposeful group activities
Led by trained facilitators who understand neurodivergence, apraxia, sensory needs, and the importance of presuming competence
Small-group settings to support regulation and individualized attention

We have programs for both Children and Teens
Our play-based approach goes beyond fun, integrating sensory regulation techniques that promote focus, emotional resilience, and body awareness. Whether it’s swinging, obstacle courses, or crafting, every activity is intentionally designed to foster meaningful development.
Opportunities to practice turn-taking, conversation skills, regulation strategies, and cooperative play
Most Importantly ~ Have Fun !!!
Each session is led by trained facilitators who deeply understand neurodivergence, apraxia, sensory needs, and the importance of presuming competence. Through purposeful activities like turn-taking games, cooperative play, and conversation practice, we empower participants to build confidence and connection in a small-group setting tailored to their needs.
